  2. Make AI tutor remember what we discussed

I really like speaking with tutors but it's annoying that they don't have a memory. I understand privacy reasons but it kills the vibe when I have to repeat myself over and over again when she asks me what sports I like or what I do for work.

  3. Ways to review vocabulary after each lesson

I learn a lot at the lessons but without ways to review learned vocabluary it feels usless. Repetition is essential to remember the material - and in fluently for now there is not enough repetition possibilities. Something like quizlet but with voice function would bo good for vocabluary.

  4. Pronunciation tips

add tips how to pronounce a word, because it is tricky to just repeat. For example, Enough – /ɪˈnʌf/ – “i-NUFF”; short i like bit, stress on second syllable, final -gh sounds like f

  5. Let users know how to say something in a more native way

I can express my ideas in a basic way, but I want to learn how to sound more like a native speaker. I don’t need every sentence corrected—just highlight the top 3–5 phrases or sentences that could be improved each time. That way, I can gradually pick up more natural expressions and expand my vocabulary through daily use, without having to look everything up on Google.

  6. Practice English when I cannot talk

During the day I want to do something useful with my phone but I can't talk. It would be cool if you added at least a minimal interactive feature that I could get stuck in if I can't communicate in voice mode. Maybe some kind of the game?

I want to see how I improve daily, weekly, and monthly. This could include charts and how I’m improving on my overall score and per aspect

  8. Exercises based on the conversation

An AI Tutor should remember the entire conversation, including grammar, sentence structure, and pronunciation, to then prepare learning material based on the user's weaknesses.

  9. Written Grammar Exercises

I really enjoy the app and the focus on speaking practice, but I feel there is a lack of written grammar exercises. It would be helpful to not only practice conversation, but also to work on grammar rules in writing — for example, filling in the blanks, sentence ordering, or targeted exercises on a specific grammar topic.

  10. Tutor Push-to-talk Mode

I think that if there is a “training” mode in which the tutor immediately falls silent after the suggested phrase and waits for my response, it will be very useful. And after I have said the phrase, he explains my mistakes and suggests repeating the phrase to some acceptable level of its reproduction. (To avoid looping, you can suggest something else after 5-10 attempts)

  11. Make tutor know recent news

The current AI model doesn’t know recent news and topics, perform web searches, or be updated with the latest data model.

  12. British tutors

I've been trying to learn and speak British English. I've only seen tutors on Fluently using American English so far. I'd love to be able to have a British tutor because the pronunciation is different, the vocabulary is different and many idioms are different.

  13. Unreasonably low grammar score

Often when I have a call where I said ~30-40 sentences, it gives me really low 20-25% grammar score, while providing only 2 or 3 examples (usually because if "a" article). If it really has 2-3 mistakes, I don't get why the score is so lowIf it has more mistakes, why they're not displayed? Looks like those errors have unreasonably high impact on the grammar score (especially assuming it's just an article error).

  14. TOEFL Mock Exam

A lot of people will have to take a TOEFL at one point in time. Especially the speaking part and a good scoring system would be awsome. There are not that many good TOEFL preperation materials out there.

  15. English language knowledge base

Perhaps I haven’t reached that point in my journey yet, but it would be beneficial to have an “English language knowledge base” with essential rules and patterns to review independently or with AI. For instance, if there’s a specific grammar rule I don’t understand or know how to use, it would be ideal to pinpoint it and discuss or practice with a tutor
